If you have any questions, contact Lindsay Jeanloz.)

We highly encourage submitting interactive or hands-on technical presentation proposals instead of theoretical sessions. Considering the global economy in 2012, think about how attendees will get actionable value from your session today.

If the proposal is accepted, a summary of the presentation that will be published on the BriForum website and in the attendees' conference guide. It is crucial to write a session summary that clearly describes the topic and why it would be of interest to the BriForum audience.

Things to Know

The conference requires non-exclusive publication rights to submitted presentations including the publication of audio and video proceedings. Copyright is retained by the author. In the event that a deadline is missed we reserve the right to revoke any offer to present.

Conference Environment

Our projector will be 1024x768, so make sure that any demos you have work at that resolution. We will only provide VGA connectors to the projector, so if your laptop is DVI-only (like a Mac), make sure you bring a VGA adapter. Each breakout room will have two wireless lavaliermics. If you need any additional mics, talk to us ahead of time and we’ll see what we can do (but we might not be able to accommodate you). We will not have laptop-based audio capabilities, so if you plan on showing a demo video with sound from your laptop, then you’ll need to use your external speakers on the laptop.

Speaker Benefits

All BriForum speakers will receive a refund covering their airfare and accommodations for the event and free conference admission (*Please note: as mentioned above, do not register before being notified whether your submission was accepted).

General Submission Rules

  • An author can submit more than one presentation proposal.
  • Submissions containing trade secrets or accompanied by non-disclosure agreement forms are not acceptable and will be returned unread.
  • Submissions whose main purpose is to promote a commercial product or service will not be accepted.
  • Submissions can be submitted only by the author(s) of the presentation. No third-party submission will be accepted.
  • All accepted proposals must be presented at BriForum by at least one author.
